Art Nouveau Wall Art

Art nouveau wall art is the whiplash line, the flat gold ground and the woman at the centre of the composition. Between roughly 1890 and 1910 the movement ran through painting, poster design, glass and architecture across Paris, Vienna, Prague and Glasgow, and this collection follows it: Klimt's gilded portraits, Mucha's theatre posters, Chéret's advertising lithographs and the botanical ornament that runs through all of it. The palette leans warm, the line is decorative rather than descriptive, and the shapes were designed to be read at a glance from across a room. These hang well in an entry, a powder room or anywhere a flat wall needs a single confident piece. Museum-quality framed giclee canvas in gold, silver, or dark bronze, made to order.
