Eastman Johnson
Eastman Johnson (1824-1906) painted American life during the years it nearly came apart. A Ride for Liberty follows a family escaping slavery at dawn; the Nantucket cranberry harvests and Maine maple camps that followed are quieter but no less exact. Trained in Düsseldorf and The Hague, he brought Dutch tonal discipline to distinctly American subjects. Every work is reproduced on museum-grade cotton canvas with archival giclee printing, printed to order and hand-framed in your choice of Gold, Silver, or Charcoal, sized Small through Estate.
