Vasily Polenov

Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov (1844-1927) painted the Russian courtyard and the Russian river in a light nobody had put on canvas before him. Moscow Courtyard is the picture every Russian schoolchild knows, and his Oka landscapes carry the same unhurried warmth. A Wanderer by conviction, he later travelled to Palestine and Egypt for a monumental life of Christ. Every work is reproduced on museum-grade cotton canvas with archival giclee printing, printed to order and hand-framed in your choice of Gold, Silver, or Charcoal, sized Small through Estate.
