Gustav Bauernfeind
Gustav Bauernfeind (1848-1904) trained as an architect before turning to painting, and it shows in every stone. His views of Jerusalem, Jaffa and Damascus are built with a draughtsman's exactness and then flooded with Levantine light, crowds and awnings and dust suspended in the heat. He settled in Jerusalem and painted it until he died there. Every work is reproduced on museum-grade cotton canvas with archival giclee printing, printed to order and hand-framed in your choice of Gold, Silver, or Charcoal, sized Small through Estate.
